Excursion between South Tyrol and Switzerland

Without stress, without many tourist attractions but with many peace and rest: an excursion along the Path of Hours in Vinschgau Valley and Engadin is a special path for who is searching contemplative experiences.

The “Path of Hours” begins in Burgeis in Vinschgau Valley. Burgeis in the Vinschgau is a cosy little village, where you simply must visit the famous Benedictine monastery Marienberg - the biggest and most impressive monastery in South Tyrol.

The Path of Hours

From the monastery Marienberg you go ahead on “Schleiser path” and on “Tschenel” water path until you reach the border between Italy and Switzerland. In the Switzerland part of the Path of Hours” you cross lovely meadows and hills and you arrive finally in the monastery of Müstair, in Engadin, the arrival of the Path of Hours.

For the whole excursion you take 7 hours.
