Skiing tours in South Tyrol

To Mount Sextner Stein

Mount Sextner Stein in the Dolomites is not really the most important or impressing mountains:

but when you consider that from the peak of Mount Sextner Stein photographers shot the most beautiful photos of the Drei Zinnen north faces, Mount Sextner Stein is surely a rewarding destination for a skiing tour.

Skiing tour to Mount Sextner Stein

From Sexten Moos in Pustertal Valley you drive first of all in direction to Kreuzberg Pass and then into Fischleintal Valley. Park there near Hotel Dolomitenhof. Take the cross country ski slope and hike into the valley until you reach the Talschlusshütte Refuge.

Go to the right and arrived at a fork, take the path to the right again and walk through the Altsteintal Valley to the Bödenseen grounds. From here you can see already the Mount Sextner Stein: he is the end point of the ridge to Mt. Toblinger Knoten. Walk to the ridge and then to Mount Sextner Stein: you will be amazed by the breathtaking view over the Drei Zinnen north faces and the other Dolomites peaks.
