The Dolomites High Alpine Routes 7 and 8
Here we present to hikers the Dolomites High Alpine Routes 7 and 8. The Dolomites High Alpine Route 7 brings you from Pieve d’Alpago on 110 km and 11 days to Seguisono and the High Alpine Route number 8 however leads you from Salurn to the western Dolomites in 13 days.Dolomites High Alpine Route 7
The 2nd part however brings you through the lonely mountain world of Col Visentin. From Belluno you have to hike to Rifugio Col Visentin and to Pian delle Femene, to Passo San Boldo and to Passo di Praderàdego and then to Rifugio Posa Punèr and finally to Seguisino.
Dolomites High Alpine Route 8
The next day we take the chairlift to Alpenrose Inn and walk to Hotel Karersee. On path 18 we hike to Latemar embrasure, to Bivacco E. Rigatti and to Rifugio Torre di Pisa (7 hours). Day 5 brings you to Eggentaler Alm mountain pasture and over Reiterjoch Pass and Lavacejoch Pass to Jochgrimm Inn (3,5 hours). Day 5 begins with the hike to Gurdinalm mountain pasture, to Kugeljoch Pass, to Mt. Leitenspitze and ends in Truden (4,5 hours). The next day you walk to Ziss Sattel and to Gfrill and cross the Mt. Salurn to reach Posmar Pass and the Lago Alpino Lake (7 hours). The last day brings us downwards to biotope Lagabrun, to Refuge Sauch and finally to Salurn, the ending point of this great excursion.
