Schwarzenstein fixed rope routes

Tauferer Ahrntal  is an ideal place for climbing routes. The mountains here largely exceed the 3000 m and they are in very exposed positions.

A climbing path, comparable with those in the Dolomites, is the climbing path through the chimney on the way to Schwarzenstein Refuge.  The Schwarzenstein Refuge with 2922 metres is the highest of Ahrntals refuge. From the refuge can be reached in 1.5 hours  the summit of the stately stone Schwarzenstein (3368 m).

The starting point for the long walk is Berggasthaus "Stallila" , here begin the track 23a initially flat, and then steeply up to 2550 m.
The climbing path consists of ladders and stepping aid, the wire ropes are well forward. It is a little difficult. Up to the lodge takes you about 4 hours.
Who still enough strength in the bones, can continue through rubble, block factory and glaciers to the left of the impressive Summit Schwarzenstein stone walk.

The descent follows the ascent.
